Sometimes a whole story exists in a moment. I make paintings and sculptures to capture those moments. Time spent outdoors—wandering, listening, and paying attention—is as much a part of my artistic practice as time in the studio. My paintings are built with generous layers of paint and texture, while my sculptures emerge from reclaimed, recycled, and found materials given new life. I’m moved by the overlooked extraordinary and the beautiful, at times unbearable, experience of being human.

I grew up in Spokane, Washington, where I began making art from a young age. As a teenager, I created apparel designs for local businesses, painted murals, and worked as an illustrator for The Spokesman-Review. Life pulled me away from making, but years later, I returned to the studio with a deeper understanding of resilience, vulnerability, and the stories we carry. I now live in Olympia, Washington, where I create paintings and sculptures that explore moments of connection, reflection, beauty, and humor hidden within everyday life.
